Resume:

Alex Lanier

**********@*****.*** 601-***-****

Profile

History as an honest, hardworking and motivated

employee who adapts easily and learns quickly. Years of experience in direct sales in restaurants combined with exceptional verbal and written communication

skills allow me to succeed in building team and

customer relationships and providing excellent

service. Results-oriented and focused on quality, as well as organized, resourceful and efficient, I am a problem solver.

Education

Middle Tennessee State University,

Bachelor of Business Administration

2017 Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Major: Marketing

Minor: Business Administration

Awards

Dale Carnegie Human Relations Award,

Middle Tennessee State University

2017

The Dale Carnegie Human Relations Award is given to the participant who best exhibits the values and

lessons learned throughout the course. This was

voted on my by all of my peers, and I still cherish the award and the small token I was given to remember

the occasion.

Jone's College of Business Sales Competition,

Third Place Finisher

The Jones college of Business has a biannual sales competition for all students taking the Sales 201

course for the semester. For the competition we

were given information about an insurance company

and some different coverage policies from a small

local insurance agency. We had to sell the insurance first to our teachers, then a small amount of students were selected to sell to an actual agent from the

insurer who was playing a potential client. I finished 3rd out of the entirety of students enrolled in the course, about 200 students.

Professional Experience

Bartender/Server, Machete Tequila + Tacos

04/2021 – present Denver, Colorado

Truly a high-volume environment where speed is

necessary, and the only way to be fast is to remain organized and focused. Customer service is of the

highest importance. It's my responsibility to assess the wants and needs of the customers and to do my

best to offer the appropriate products to meet those wants and needs.

Lead Bartender and Beer Buyer,

Denver Milk Market

06/2018 – 04/2021 Denver, Colorado

I started at Denver Milk Market as a part-time

employee. I quickly caught the attention of

management and was offered full-time hours. Within a year, I was in charge of purchasing all beer for DMM. Then the pandemic hit and the nature of the

job changed dramatically. We were forced to pivot

and adapt new strategies. I accepted the role of Lead Bartender. My role was now all of the responsibilities of a bar manager without the title or salary. I placed all bar-related orders and kept inventories, and I took on further leadership roles. I started interviewing and hiring employees. I wrote the SOPs and training

manuals and had a hand in training the new

employees directly. I led educational courses on our food and drink programs. I helped create strategies for increasing revenues and enhancing customer

experience. I came into my own as a leader during a tumultuous time, and led a program that was doing

about $500 in bar sales per-day to doing well over

$10,000 per-day after Covid shutdowns.

Courses

Dale Carnegie Course,

Middle Tennessee State University

2017

This class was a requirement for graduation from

reason. The certificate from this class means a great deal to me, as it does to Warren Buffet who proudly displays his to this day. The course is full of lessons on how to build and enhance relationships.

Able to thrive in high stress, high speed
