Position: Clinical Nurse/ Chief Nurse

Responsibilities:

Daily running of the UKTB clinic in Nairobi

Ensuring that all migrants destined for the United Kingdom are screened are TB free and issued with a certificate to that effect before departure.

Counselling clients with abnormal CXR’s and referring those who require TB treatment.

Coordinating with other depts. Both internal and external to ensure smooth client flow and satisfaction.

Ensuring that accurate client identification is always done prior to doing the CXRS.

Ensuring high standards of professionalism is maintained at all during the health assessment process.

Supervision of clinical nurses, customer care assistants and dispatch messengers.

Administering pre-departure treatment for traveling refugees and coordinating with medical assistant outgoing departure notifications.

Provision of briefings to clients to make them aware of all the requirements, for example the need to have a DNA test done, lab tests, x-rays and maintaining good record of the medical examination reports.

Supervision of clinical staff.
