I was responsible for running the day to day operations of the warehouse on the DC side of the building. I was in charge of approximately 150 employees ranging from equipment operators to shipping and receiving departments. I was also in charge of hiring all employees within my division. I also had to set up budgets for the month and to make sure my supervisors met those budget goals. I also handled the logistics manager role as calling carriers to negotiate freight rates and to negotiate carriers to pick loads up. Another main responsibility was to make sure I tracked our inventory inbound shipments as well as all outbound shipments. I had to set up and make sure the KPI goals were met on a monthly and yearly basis. I am knowledgeable of Microsoft office programs as well. I set up multiple new facilities across cincinnati and nky. I handled all the materials coordinations from acquiring vendors to handle my orders of supplies to handling the volume of inbound and outbound shipments. I was in charge at first until I hired a purchasing and billing manager in purchasing all equipment and handling the set up of all the contractors contracts. I was given budgets to stick by and for the most part always came under.
