Experienced as an operational professional across the various functions in the Manufacturing, Production Planning.
Instructional Student Assistant, California State University, Northridge.
(1/1/2023 –6/30/2023)
Worked as a tutor for undergrad students of materials engineering department of California State University, Northridge. Main job responsibility as a tutor to help the students to improve grades. Laboratory Hands-On Training and Working Experience:
• Mechanical Testing and Heat-Treatment of various grades of Steel, Aluminium, Cupper, Tin, Led, Titanium, Brass parts with reference to ASTM, ASM, AISI, SAE and MIL Standards.
• Metal samples Metallography and characterization using Tensile test, Casting and Metallurgical Analysis, Micro and Precipitation Hardness test and Optical microscopy of the polished surface followed by SEM/EDX and FTIR analysis.
• Material characterization using SEM and EDS analysis for various corrosion test samples from failed components.
• Testing effectiveness of Vapor phase Corrosion Inhibitors on different grades of Steels, Carbon Steels and Aluminium samples. Using electrochemical cells and Gamry (software). Corrosion test reports made by cumulative data obtained from cyclic polarization following NACE standards.
• Materials Testing experience includes Hardness, thermal heat treatment, compression, NDT methods and failure analysis.
Sr. Engineer in Manufacturing, Production & Supply chain Planning Interstoff Group, Bangladesh (8/10/2011 – 7/31/2022) Master scheduling and monitoring of apparel manufacturing processes from raw material sourcing to shipment. Setting targets for production efficiency and on-time delivery achievement. Achievements:
• Overseeing raw material sourcing, including negotiating pricing and managing supplier relationships
• Costing analysis for production processes and materials
• Developing and implementing production plans, and monitoring their execution, making critical decisions and troubleshooting issues in the production line
• Implementing and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to support departmental goals
• Managing the end-to-end material development process for lifestyle and performance categories
• Building and maintaining comprehensive materials documentation, specifications, pricing, minimum order quantities (MOQ), lead times, and critical process information.
• Implement lean concept and carbon footprint in manufacturing.
