·Acted as a rodman/survey technician for a field survey crew engaged in the daily activities of the I-59/20 Central Business District Bridge Replacement Project in downtown Birmingham, AL
·Performed multiple heavy civil construction tasks such as construction staking, grading/excavating, setting footers, aligning bridge columns and caps, QA/QC of forms and elevations, and as-built surveying
·Aligned and adjusted precast pier and expansion segments, all while using the span-by-span construction method utilizing falsework towers for the bridges’ erection.
·Performed field surveying for roadways and bridges, including installing surveying construction stakes, tying out existing intersection ties, and locating or
establishing vertical and horizontal control, right of way, monuments, corners, and boundaries.
·Reason for leaving: Once the project was completed, Johnson Bros. Corp. left the area, and I chose to accept a position with a company in Birmingham.
