Customer service/Bookkeeping

Being in customer service I have gained a lot of experience with customer interaction. This role requires me to help customers with any of their issues with prices, coupons, our app, or any complaints they may have. I am also responsible for selling and redeeming lottery tickets, cashing checks, printing money orders, and I am a western union money transfer agent. I am also one of the bookkeepers for my store. In this role I must do audits every day on our tills and departments, and I am in charge of keeping track of all the money for the store. I order money for the store, receive our cash shipments, and order all our lottery tickets. I am in charge of doing our books either morning or night depending on what my shift is that day. In this role I also fill in as the on duty customer service manager when needed. For this I am in charge of giving the cashiers their breaks and managing the courtesy clerks. I have to make sure to assign them tasks to do and make sure those tasks are getting completed. Overall I assist with many things in the store that have given me excellent customer service skills and problem solving skills. November 2019-August 2022

Janey’s was my first payroll job. I got hired for the job while in high school, so this job taught me most of my work ethic. I was always interacting with customers and making sure their needs were fulfilled. This job also taught me how to maintain a pleasant work environment with my coworkers. I really gained a lot of knowledge by working under pressure. Janeys gets very busy in the spring time and it can get overwhelming, but it worked because my coworkers and I made sure to communicate and work as a team to benefit one another. On some days I would help my boss out with payroll. This is because he’s running Janeys by himself, so sometimes he needs help. This really helped me gain the knowledge I needed for Safeway and helped me branch out. EDUCATION
