Started as an apprentice and was promoted to Foreman and then Field Superintendent, doing all phases of drywall construction, as well as outside construction and protection work. Throughout my 35-year career in NYC high rise construction, I have worked as a Union Carpenter for 23 years and a Site Safety Manager/Fire Safety Manager for 12 years. This includes working on many notable high rise and historic structures such as; World Trade Center, Carnegie Hall, George Washington Bridge, Harlem Children’s Zone/Promise Academy, Deutsch Bank, Fresh Direct (Bronx). Compose daily reports about on-site conditions and safety compliance by contractors. Escort all Department of Buildings, OSHA, and FDNY Inspectors for walk-through checks for safety compliance and deficiencies. Perform walk through inspections multiple times a day, ensuring that all regulations are being met. Interact with foreman, workers and office personnel to establish and reinforce common safety goals.
