I worked with Applied Control Equipment from 2009 until April of 2016, at which time I was laid off due to market conditions (oil & gas). My primary responsibility was mechanical assembly of control valves, actuators, positioners, and plumbing resulting in completed assemblies for delivery to customers. All work was completed in accordance with specification sheets, prints, and other instructions. Additional duties included general shop maintenance and limited work in shipping, receiving, and metal fabrication. In 2012, I received one of the company’s top performance awards. (Note: I initially worked through Aerotek, before being hired as a regular, full-time employee).

Machine Operator – Rimstar Incorporated

2008— 2009

Worked as an injection mold operator, running various part configurations for a variety of customers. Performed some machine set-up work and general plant maintenance as a part of this role.

Various Positions

2004 — 2008

During this period, I worked in many positions in a family-related business. I chose this path, since I was transitioning to Colorado during this time.

Line Runner – Westech Fence

2002 — 2004

Mount Vernon, IN

As a Line Runner, I received products, machined or modified parts to specification, and prepared for shipment to customers. I was also responsible for routine machine maintenance and the cleanliness of the work area. Products were for custom fencing, decking, and/or railing projects.

Operator – Tyson Foods
