Pump assembly

Weir Minerals floway - Fresno, CA - April 2012 to February 2016 Responsibilities

Assemble pumps all sizes. Read schematic. Read paperwork for assembly of pump and parts. Using decimals .measuring tapes and scales. Press bearings using hydraulic press. all sizes. Using air tools impact gun .die grinders. cutting wheels .grinders .measuring inner diameter and outer diameter for proper press fit. Overall measurements of pump unit and bowl ssembly .certified hydro test .working in Test Lab using 480 and above for proper vibration. rpms and gallons per minute .able to work in shipping and receiving .using 2 - 3 inch nail gun .2 inch staple gun. assemble with nuts and bolts anywhere from 9/16 to an inch and a half. Assemble units 6 inch bowls - 39 inch bowls .drawing pin. drill and tap. the coupling guards for safety .measuring shafts to proper length .crane certified 7 ton .work long hours sometimes Saturday. MAF Industries - Traver, CA - June 2011 to February 2012 Assembly on ag equipment, sizers, box fillers &dryers bin washers. Able to work at all levels of assembly & troubleshoot electrical on frame. Run three phase motors & track conveyer belts.Use of soon cord 16 gauge 4conductor/16 gauge shielded vfd cable run wire from frame to terminate to panel run air line through frame from Cylinder to main air valve read blueprints/schematics have my own tools, drills, wire strippers wrenches

Gannett Co. / Visalia Times Delta - Visalia, CA - October 2008 to October 2010 Worked 8 hour shift as a pressperson on a Goss Urbanite double wide offset web printing press, quarter and half folder. Responsible for reading map to set up press runs. Unit to unit timing using timing marks for circumferential cutoffs to folder. Fill inks in fountains. Plate up press with prepress to plate no bender or punch or burn. Run webs through units to folder. Change folder from straight to collect. Set color with keys on fountains 4 to 8 color with the right ink and water balance using sock rollers. Change blankets. Set form rollers, ink, water rollers and stationary rollers. Set registration using lateral and circumferential by hand and tend rolls. Forklift and clamp truck certified/safety committee. Changed light fixtures. Journeyman

McClatchy Co. / Fresno Bee - March 2000 to August 2008 with certificate/press tech. Worked 7 hour shifts, all graveyard. Responsible for an eight person crew. Flexograph printing press, 18 units, doublewide. Program cut offs using touch screen Windows XP. Program registration using touch screen. Set folder and web tension. Maintenance - rebuilt fountains and ink pumps, mixed inks, check viscosity of inks change Anilox rollers for print quality on high speed web press, met deadlines in a timely manner. Low waste, to decrease departments costs. Attended weekly meetings to give reports of progress of the department and press runs. Forklift and clamp truck certified with the Fresno Bee. Able to read some schematics and some PLC experience. Able to install three phase motor to conveyer belt. Press operator

Set color and color registration, set afterburner temperature, chill roller, silicone applicator, maintenance conveyor belts and motors 230-480 Volts 3 phase, program telacolor ink set, program automatic registration using photo eyes, make readys for next shift. responsible for five person crew, worked all shifts. Ink and water balance, set color registration, setting color to color proof, quality is first, mixing inks. Maintain press installing rollers, rebuilding foundations, removal of old bearings and cylinders, changing worn blankets, setting folders quarter and half, trimmers and trimmer knives.
