ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN (Apr 2019-PRESENT)

Duties Include but are not limited to:

●Performs routine technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment.

●Applications may include analog, digital and/or video type circuits and logic systems. Works well with team.

●Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal description, layouts, or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks.

●Performs routine operational tests and fault isolation on development system and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications.

●Diagnoses and isolates malfunctions down to component level while integrating subsystems.

●Conducts defined engineering tests and collects data as assigned.

●Currently certified in Cable Crimp and Harness, ESD, and Ordinance. Waiting on training for Solder recertification.

●Responsible for fabrication of electronic assemblies and harnesses

●Fabricate wire harnesses for payload checkout, testing cables for component, circuit board and deck testing, launch support cables such as umbilical cables and flight harness and flight cables

●Perform flight preparation and checkout of all launch vehicle hardware and systems to meet flight readiness.

●Perform safe launch vehicle and pad operations prior to and during countdowns under the direction of the launch pad supervisor.

●Perform non-routine assignments required to support a complete mission project involving the transporting, assembly, checkout and launch of various rocket vehicle systems.
