Work Experience

Forklift Operator

The TJX Companies, Inc.-Tucson, AZ

August 2021 to June 2023

Hello, my name is Genesis Garcia. So, some of my experiences are… I worked at home goods distribution center as a forklift driver my work hours were Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-3:00am than switched to Friday through sunday from 5:00am to 5:30pm. I worked there for 2 years and for 12 hours out of the day I pick up freight on pallets and move those pallets to different departments in the distribution center. One forklift weighs as much as 3 automobiles, so I did deal with heavy machinery. Before working at home goods I was working door dash for a couple years, I would pick up orders at restaurants and grocery stores and drop them off at the customers house. When I was 16 years old I graduated high school after only doing 2 1/2 years of high school I graduated with straight As and I graduated my junior year. I was also a football manager for 2 years of high school. Right after high school I went straight into college for my botanist degree. Then, I ended up starting my own business

“The Herbal Dragon”making organic hygiene products and herbal teas. I do have my LLC for my business as well. I ended up switching my career path to becoming a therapist due to me realizing my purpose is to help others and that’s physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, even financially., I was working as an independent contractor for act fast that also works with napa. I worked as a delivery driver for car parts and take them to different Merle’s auto shop. I also worked as a sit down forklift operator at SR smith, i would pick up freight and take it to different areas, take down and put up freight in the racks. I would help out around the warehouse with the forklift. I have always been a hard worker, always pushing myself to achieve my dreams/goals. I am a person who loves to help people and see people smile. I am a quick learner and willing to learn everything to grow my library. I was a correctional officer for the state for almost a year, I worked at the prison, I was a supervisor for inmates. I supervised houses that held up to 100-200 inmates everyday alone. I was also working in a management program after the corrections with Verizon, training me and preparing me to become a branch manager for one of the branch locations. I did knock door to door, doing marketing for Verizon home internet as well as phone service. Now, I currently work at Verizon corporate store in Phoenix Az. But, I want to do something more with my passion, helping people, the ability to travel and work with beautiful people. Education
