Acute Care Family Medicine Duties: Lab collection and testing for rapid flu and strep screens, urinalysis and culture collection. Administration of albuterol nebulizer treatments, decadron, toradol and rocephin injections. Accu checks, clonidine dosing and BP monitoring, guaic testing, suture removal, ear lavage, wound care and diabetic instruction. Assist the clinician with toenail removals and I and D wound care. Women's Health and Family Planning Duties: Pregnancy screening and confirmation testing and STI screening. Assist the Clinician with pelvic exams, PAP smear and microbiology specimen collection, removal of nexplanon implants, IUD placement and removal. Family Planning patient instruction. Depo Provera administration.
Preventative Pediatric Medicine Duties: Texas Health Step examinations including vital signs and O2 saturation collection. PHQ-PSC and PHQ-ASC and PHQ-2 and 9 screening, TB, lead and ASQ (Ages and Stages Developmental) screens, Immtrac and vaccine updating, BMI, vision and hearing screens, vaccine administration and newborn screens. TB placement and reading. Acute Care Pediatric Duties: Similar duties as adult acute care, including triaging infants, toddlers, pre- teen and adolescent patients. Rapid screening tests for flu and strep. Albuterol nebulizer treatments. Decadron and rocephin injection. ECG's. Administration and dosing of NSAID's under Nurse and Clinician instruction and supervision.
Behavioral Psychiatry Health Duties: Triage adult and pediatric patients, collect vital signs including BP and gather history of present illness. Dispense and collect Vanderbilt ADHD screening forms. Administrative Duties: Utilization of the NextGen EMR and EHR systems for scheduling patients, entering clinical data including submitting charges for procedures, labs, medications and vaccines administered. Medication reconciliation and problem list updating at each clinic visit. Collecting hospital, ED, lab, radiology and sub-specialty records for clinician review and update pertinent information to the EMR. Complete referrals and prior authorizations for Private Insurance Plans, Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP and ObamaCare Health Plans. Complete referrals for ST, OT, PT, dietary and sub-specialty clinicians.
