I am very hardworking and skilled residential and social services gentleman who provides holistic care to persons with developmental disabilities at their homes or in group homes. I have over four(4) years(experience) dealing with people at the group homes and in their independent family homes and apartments with developmental disabilities and I am passionate about my services. I am a wonderful team leader, competent person with patient -centered care approach ready to learn and improve skills and bring innovations. I rose from the position of a DSP, to DSP lead and to a residential manager. I am highly flexible and willing to render part time/full time services.

Professional experience.

DSP Lead/ program supervisor: AlmostHome Residential Services LLC, Woodbridge VA from November 2019 to present.

Administer medications as prescribed by the physician and monitor the clients for any possible side effects.

Write and also review individual care plans.

Submit quarterly reports to support coordinators.

Attend ISP and SIS

Call the pharmacy and request for medication refills for the clients.

Make appointments (Doctors’, therapists, social services and others) on the behalf of my clients

and ensure that they attend them by transporting them to and from.

Personal care assistance, providing in-home support for the individuals with developmental disabilities.

Assist the individuals take their showers, clean their bedroom and keep them organized, if they can.

Keep homes neat and clean with light housekeeping duties.

Advise, encourage and prompt the individuals to complete their ADLs and chores.

Cook meal for patients and clean up the dishes and other kitchen utensils.

Train new employees.

Assist the manager in writing the individual’s ISP plan.

write and submit individual quarterlies, making sure the deadlines are met.

Assist the individuals take them out for community integration activities.
