Successfully integrate clinical and administrative experience to manage practice, succeed in hospital settings, and navigate corporate medicine environments. Continue to grow the practice’s ability to provide surgical services in the metropolitan Phoenix area. Areas of practice include robotic surgery and weight loss surgery including open and laparoscopic, primarily gastric sleeve and revision surgeries, as well as pain management. Successes include developing and managing innovative healthcare programs in hospitals and clinics including bariatric surgery and trauma care programs.
With the onset of the COVID crisis, I closed my elective practice and office. Since the office closure, I served in a position doing in-home evaluations for a third-party healthcare system using the employment of David Johnson, MD PLLC, in March 2020. Beginning 2/1/2022 I have been doing General Surgery Locums assignments and developing a vein treatment program. June 2022, I opened a vein practice in Phoenix with the USA Clinics and this has developed into a full time practice with continuing monthly general surgery with locums assignments. Currently, I am credentialled at Cibola General Hospital, Grants, NM.
Built a seven-year track record of training medical students and surgical residents while navigating a challenging hour restricted environment at Mountain Vista Medical Center.
As Chief of Staff, played a key role in opening the Mountain Vista Medical Center and rolling out the hospital’s Bariatric Surgery Program in Mesa, Arizona (2007 to 2008).
Played a key role in Mountain Vista’s success in achieving Level III American College of Surgeons verification as well as re-verification in 2016.
Rolled out a Level III trauma program for Mountain Vista in 2012.
Level I Trauma Care Program at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Banner University and Honor Healthcare Osborn facilities from 1987 to 2010.
