PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Lead Technical Recruiter/Senior Compensation Analyst eBay October 2002 - March 2024

A lead member of the Global Talent Acquisition team at eBay for the past 13 years, sourcing and hiring top-tier software engineers, product managers, SW Dev Managers, and Directors. and contributing to company headcount growth from 1,500 to over 12,000 employees worldwide. Personally recruited and hired over 1,000 full time employees while working primarily on-site in the San Jose headquarters. Provided on-going compensation training for over 100 new recruiters at eBay and PayPal.

Joined a confidential multi-year project in 2017, initially helping to recruit 30 new software engineers within a 4-month timeframe for eBay's new-growth Payments Java development project, which eventually grew to a 1,000-employee team launching the Payments platform across 190 countries by 2020. The Payments group has generated more than $2 billion in additional revenue for eBay.

Established and led eBay's New Product Development (NPD) recruiting efforts in 2015, recruiting/ transferring 70 employees within a tight 2-month timeframe, resulting in the creation of a “start-up group” within the product development team. This group pioneered an AI machine learning functional database for visual product recognition on the eBay e-commerce site.

While working in the Compensation team for 6 years, developed an Excel "Rosetta Stone" for all of eBay's salary surveys, streamlining job matching across 20 surveys and 1,400 titles, cutting completion time by up to six weeks, and ensuring consistency in job matching standards; this tool is still in use by the Compensation department in 2024

Led the global salary planning and Compensation survey participation for several years, designing and delivering live and on-line compensation training for line managers and recruiters, and providing compensation support for the Development organization.

Sr. Technical Recruiter Macromedia May 2000 - August 2002

Recruited top-tier C++ software development engineers and managers for the Dreamweaver and Flash teams at this renowned software development company (now Adobe), working on-site in Redwood Shores and San Francisco, contributing to the successful delivery of several high-quality products.

Returned to Macromedia in 2000 as a contractor due to my previous success recruiting for the initial Dreamweaver product in 1996-1997, contributed to the Flash development team by sourcing and hiring software engineers for more than two years. I was invited on a ship trip to Hawaii for the Dreamweaver development team in 2001, and played a key role in the growth and development success of both Dreamweaver and Flash, two of Macromedia's top products
