I have had the privilege of working with Britney Hawkins for the past two years. Our paths crossed as many paths in the entertainment industry cross: at a concert load-in. With over 80 people working that day, Britney stood out for all the right reasons. She was on time and prepared, she was immediately in sync with the touring crew on what needed to be done, she was safe, she was a leader without being asked to be one, and, above all, she appeared to be having the time of her life! Her attitude was infectious, and in an environment filled with the pressure and stress that comes with having to get a herculean job done with very little time to spare, Britney’s attitude was exactly what we all needed. Since then, I have utilized Britney in a number of different ways: Crew Lead, Forklift Driver, Scissor Lift operator, Down Rigger, Lighting - Level 3, Breakout Technician, Audio - Level 2 & 3, Carpenter, Truck Loader, and Labor Coordinator.

Speaking specifically about the time Britney worked as a labor coordinator for me, I was able to see firsthand how Britney dealt with the pressures of filling a labor request when given very little time. Though incredibly stressful, Britney handled these moments very well. She worked with me to outline a game plan, followed the plan through tireless execution, and focused on what she could control to help yield the best possible outcome. Britney truly is a swiss army knife when it comes to the live entertainment industry. I don’t think there is anything she hasn’t seen or experienced. She understands the industry, knows what is needed to be successful, recognizes how important it is to manage the many diverse personalities that come with live entertainment, and, through it all, continues to maintain that infectious energy and positive attitude that is so often overlooked but so desperately needed. If it is something Britney is passionate about, I have no doubt she will be successful doing it. I hope that this reference accurately reflects how I feel about Britney both as an employee but more importantly, as a person.
