I have work my way up to being a RTITB instructor. My main role are to insure the up-to-date training of warehouse staff on different MHE equipment across 3 site to RTITB standard. My role has expanded to being a training coordinator. Witch include. Manual handing training, site inducing, arrange pacific training for stuff on the 3 site through Wincanton training programme and external source. As well as reporting me defect.
As well I’m a trainer mentor to two newly qualified RTITB instructor within Wincanton.

When I first started at whbarley my role involved picking and packing the customers stock. This progressed to me assisting with the loading and unloading of whbarley vehicles. I have also dealt with some of the administer side of the company’s business. This include communication skill both on the phone, computer and with direct contact with the customers. I have been involved with stock taking and the rotation of the stock, also on odd occasions I have made deliveries to customs in a 7.5 ton lorry.

My role was to oversee a team of 8 employees in the day to day running of the Goods In department. I made sure that deliveries were unloaded correctly and in the specified time and ensured that all paperwork was in the correct order whilst maintaining a high level of health and safety.
As well as supervising the team my role was also to be responsible for loading and unloading the containers and curtain siders alongside my colleagues.
This is a very physical and demanding job at times however working in a busy department has enabled me to cope well under pressure and to meet deadlines. In the future I would like to progress in the distribution sector learning more management skills and widening my knowledge and experience.

I enjoy playing rugby in my spare time and play for Milton Keynes Rugby Club maintaining a national level 6 status. I also help out the Rugby Club with their charity events and assist the junior team with their coaching. I also do power lifting
