Specialty Services Lead Patient Financial Services January 2023 through Current Duties include: The Specialty Services Lead functions as a team resource on highly complex issues and problem resolution. They will serve as a dedicated resource for multiple functional areas and determine the appropriate outside resources needed to support escalation. This position has a significant understanding of the revenue cycle, Insurance and the importance of evaluating and securing all appropriate financial resources for patients to maximize reimbursement. The Specialty Service Lead ensures that each patient has a complete and accurate OSF medical record. Excellent patient service skills are expected to create an exceptional first impression of OSF's services to the patients and families. Specialty Service Patient Navigator-Peoria IL September- 2019 through December 2022 Duties include: being a dedicated point of contact to support patients through the health system for labs, procedures, office visits and exams, radiology studies, specialty referrals, insurance pre-certifications and authorizations for medications and testing, completing insurance appeals, coordinating care with social support services and assisting with financial assistance for pharmaceutical and charity care programs.
