Responsibilities
As a Human Service Technician, my main role was to protect adults and disabled from being abused or exploited. I assisted in the transportation of my clients to medical appointments. In addition, my role also was to counsel on issues with Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security concerns. In situations of obvious abuse it was my responsibility to remove them from the abusive environment and file guardianship papers with the local court. With a state approved credit card and prior approval I was able to assist my clients issues that would arise when they did not have the finances to cover. Responsibilities
Maintained equipment in a safe manner to ensure product was in specifications. Outside processors performed mechanical tasks, inspections and troubleshoot equipment for maximum performance. Cross trained and worked in the Shipping and Receiving unit. Attended Logistics Management class to gain knowledge and experience in reference to the product that we were providing to outside customers.
Operators loaded and unloaded tankers. In addition we gathered samples from the processing unit and ran the appropriate tests. We then utilized LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) to upload the results of the samples to the proper personnel. Board Operators worked with outside operators to ensure that the processing unit was running at optimal performance. Operators used Excel and Microsoft Office to complete unit shift logs for the shift that was to relieve you.
And also emailed completed shift logs to upper personnel. During the (12) hour shift, when there was equipment malfunction, the outside operator would notify the proper personnel and take the equipment out of service to be repaired. Work orders using SAP was generated so that maintenance could make repairs to the equipment. The operator would then put the equipment back in service. Housekeeping was done on a regular basis throughout the (12) hour shift and safety was of utmost importance. Regular safety meetings were done at the beginning and at the end of the shift.
