Interim Administrator/Director of Operations 06/2020 – 10/2020

Responsible for the day-to-day operations and business development of a four operating room multi-specialty free-standing ambulatory surgery center doing 7,500 cases annually with net revenue in excess of 20 million dollars and 40 employees.

SUNY DOWNSTATE MEDICAL CENTER, Brooklyn, NY

Associate Administrator, Department of Surgery 10/2017 – 12/2019

Provide administrative oversight of all aspects of the Department of Surgery at a 371-bed tertiary care academic medical center. Administrator/Director of Operations 03/2012 -03/2013

Responsible for directing, coordinating and controlling all aspects of the operating functions, processes, and staff of a busy NYS Article 28 freestanding multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center with 3 operating rooms & 2 minor procedure rooms.

Reduced equipment & supply costs by 30% through the implementation of a GPO and establishment of better inventory control processes, which included computerized tracking of supplies and hiring of a FT materials manager.

Recruited additional surgeons through strategic marketing initiatives resulting in an 8% increase in the volume of cases performed and brought additional clinical specialties such as GYN and Pain Management into the facility.
