Terumo BCT AcTalent Contract - Software Test Engineer 2023-Present

Conduct software & hardware testing for a regulated medical device called REVEOS.

Testing is done following test cases developed to satisfy user and regulatory requirements.

Use both internal and external tools to perform tests and analyze results.

External tools include Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Pytest, Github, JFrog Artifactory.

The internal tool decrypts and displays the contents of the medical device’s run logs.

Testing occurs within the Linux operating system.

Test results are recorded in a validated testing tool (ALM).

Seagate LLC, Longmont, CO 2015 – 2023

Senior Test Engineer

Performed hardware & software testing on small and large disk storage configuration systems consisting of HDD and flash drives. Completed setup consisted of hardware buildup, racking, OS installation and network attachments for local or remote testing on real and virtual environments.

Designed and implemented Linux, python and windows script automation for longevity and load testing.

Performed test planning, design, and test case write-ups to meet current or new hardware specs.

Supported local and remote testers by building hardware test configurations consisting of small to large configurations with multiple storage arrays.

Performed onsite testing at the HP facility, spending 6 months traveling back and forth between HP and Seagate to complete it.

Learned Hyper-V (Microsoft’s new virtual environment) and then trained my co-workers on it.

Built and configured hardware within the lab. As hands on expert within the lab environment, I ensured all systems were built completely and running sufficiently within our test labs.

During the Covid health crisis, our remote facility within India was shut down, employees there worked remotely. This meant working through time zone differences. By supporting our remote India co-workers, we ensured the project deadline was met and completed.

Performed hardware & software testing on DXi storage appliances and quantum libraries using multiple backup storage ISV’s. Built and setup DXi storage appliances and Large library systems to handle real or virtual environments.

Designed/scripted automation testing for Vision (Quantum’s library & appliance GUI management tool)

Supported local and remote testers by building hardware test configurations using small to large DXi appliances with multiple storage arrays.

Wrote up a tech bulletin which was added to an installation document.

By breaking down scripts for Vision automation testing into smaller specific feature modules and calling each module from them, was able to provide easier access to modify and when introducing new devices.

Directed flexible schedules, used training tools via Webex and Skype sessions to pass critical information and provided learning documentations.
