Work Experience:

Systems Technician- Business Fiber (outside field technician): 2020 - 2023

·Perform installation, corrective and preventive maintenance functions of Business fiber, Data Switching Systems, Multiplexors, Modems and other related data equipment, i.e. Public Packet Switching, SMDS, etc.

·Locate trouble by inspecting and testing equipment and analyzing test data. These may be tedious and repetitious procedures.

·Entail interfacing with several IBM host environments; extensive use of several computer database systems, e.g., LMOS, SORD, WORD, R Base 5000, etc.

·Work daily with a variety of customer communication software (must be knowledgeable on a variety of products and services to assist customers in the usage of their communication network.

·Work daily with a variety of Pacific Bell and Vendor/IEC services requiring technical knowledge, reactivity and flexibility to solve problems as well as ability to be self-directed.

Supply Service Attendant (Support Services): 2012 – present

·Receive and check incoming supplies and materials from suppliers;

·Select, prepare and load materials for delivery to field users or stock in bins or shelves

·Handle a variety of clerical duties such as filling forms.

·Writing reports, filing and keeping records and work with supply catalogue (of about 11,000 items) which entails high degree of accuracy to assure adequate supplies on hand for the field to avoid waste and confusion in ordering and recovering materials.

·Receive defective materials such as test gears, grids, plug-in units or circuit packs.

·Prepare service paper work for shipment, repair or return.

·Become storeroom attendant at Transit Distribution Centers, Intermediate Distribution Centers, Plant Operating Centers, and Bell Distribution Centers.

Testing Technician (Technical-Inside): 2009-2012

·Review and interpret complex service orders, circuit diagrams, Bellcore Practices, methods and procedures.

·Document detailed trouble and referral information on trouble tickets.

·Communicate frequently with other work groups and customers to coordinate provisioning and maintenance of various communications system.

·Make step by step notations of all work done and individuals communicated with in connection with work. Details are required to be complete and accurate, using proper format, to assure easy reference when required.

Systems Technician- SDDS (Technical-Inside): 2002-2009

·Install CPE components to diverse computer system arrangements. CPE units may include modems, Ethernet cords, splitter, splitter hosing, cords, routers and jacks.

·Work and coordinate with other groups (e.g., Line Assigners, Testers, Central Office Technicians, Hi-Cap Analyzers, C.O. Engineers and Technical Support groups) and interface with customers, vendors, and other communication companies.

·Converse with customers who have limited to extensive computer knowledge and answer questions according to the level of customer expertise. Customer contact required, ranging from pleasant to challenging.

·Keep accurate records (e.g., time-reporting, repair tickets and installation logs).
