30 years experience as a contract Safety Advisor for various companies throughout Western Canada – Murphy - Endurance Energy – Nova - Cenovus
Skilled at positively and professionally enforcing OHS regulations and legislation as well as investigating complaints or incidents primarily within oilfield and petrochemical-related sectors; Gas plants, new construction, plant shutdowns and turn arounds.
Worked as a Safety Supervisor where I led a group of Safety Advisors whose objective was to mentor and ensure that all sub-contractors were following the primes policies and procedures.
Monitor the levels of H2S if we got to a certain level of H2S you ensure that employees wear Breathing apparatus or kill the well by pumping the correct kill fluid down the well or into a vessel.
Coil tubing, wireline operations, production testing, fracturing, flowing, and completions.
Proven ability to effectively promote and foster companywide onboarding of occupational health and safety programming and protocols to achieve overall health improvement and reduce on-site preventable incidents, injuries, and illnesses, document control, orientation, safety meetings & hazard assessments.
