2nd Processing Superintendent: Perdue Farms: Mount Vernon, WA: Jun 2019 to March 2024: Trains, directs and develops subordinates to meet plant costs, WOG yields, turnover goal, safety and quality requirements within the departments and/or areas. Effectively managed 5 supervisors, 1 supervisor trainee, and 8 departments with 287 hourly associates in 2nd processing. Meets daily with supervisors to discuss USDA concerns, Safety, Food Safety and Quality. Oversees production staff to ensure product quality and integrity and ensures all finished product meets or exceeds customer requirements. Creates and maintains an environment that is conducive to retaining associates. Consistently administers Company policies and procedures. Supports and promotes the Company's annual People, Products, Profitability and Planet goals through effective and efficient planning, communication and coaching, training and overall direction of the workforce. Creates and implements, new ideas and methods to improve production efficiencies, throughputs, CSI, QI, Safety scorecard.
1st Processing Superintendent: Perdue Farms: Mount Vernon, WA: Nov 2020 to March 2021: Acted as the active 1st/2nd process superintendent during transitioning to NPIS in evisceration department. Worked through NPIS opportunities and training of sorters to achieve program regulations. Managed to maintain low DOA’s, condemn and department cost.
Production Supervisor: Perdue Farms: Mount Vernon, WA: Aug 2018 to Jan 2019: Front line supervisor in Cut-Up Department. Effectively managed 60 hourly associates, responsible for order fill and customers satisfaction, implemented new safety metrics and encouraged associates to work safely, labor cost reduction, customer complaints reduction and increased throughputs/efficiencies. Improved A-grade % by 35% and $1.8 Million a year in profit.
Production Supervisor: Perdue Farms: Mount Vernon, WA: Jun 2016 to Aug 2018: Front line supervisor in Thigh Debone department. Effectively managed 45 to 55 hourly associates to complete orders, improve quality and increased efficiencies 20%, Decrease turnover 53% from FY16 YTD, improved thigh yield%, increased associates moral and performance. Worked closely with hourly associates to improve more stability on the department, fostered an atmosphere of continuous improvement on thigh debone causing failures to reduce, Received Associate of the month for increasing Efficiencies, Thigh yield%, increasing associates moral and stability.
Shipping Leader: Perdue Farms: Mount Vernon, WA: Oct 2014 to Jun 2016: Responsible for shipping department and 8-10 hourly associates, reduced number of NR’s on shipping department, reduced product stored on trailers, reduced labor cost, increased team work and communication, also yard goat driver, responsible for fueling trailers and swapping trailers around. Demonstrate extensive experience in fast paste environments, Ensure team member safety. On the side of being a Shipping leader and a yard goat driver also helped the Repack line for a small period of time for supervisor training.
Dock Worker: Perdue Farms: Mount Vernon, WA: Aug 2013 to Oct 2014: Responsible for loading/unloading trailers, receiving trailers prior to loading, able to multitask and perform multiple duties without any restrictions. Worked with SAP and CFS systems, helped integrate the SAP and CFS systems into Draper Valley Farms.
