I am the front line for the shop. When customers walk in, I greet them and am empathetic to their needs. I do my best to make their process as painless as I can. I will set up rental appointments for the customer if the insurance has not taken care of the rental for them. I request assignments from insurance companies for customer claims, prepare paperwork and take payments for deductibles and parts. When it is very busy, I will order parts and contact our vendors to get an ETA on when the parts will arrive and keep the customer well informed. I request checks for necessary auto parts ordered, tow bills, shop expenses etc. I email and update customers with photos of their vehicle after the estimator completes their preinspection. I scan documents and email them to customers to keep them informed during their repair process. I request/send out w-9’s for new vendors and send them to our accounts receivable department to make sure we are able to get parts from necessary vendors. When we are short staffed, I take photos of vehicles and their damages so one of out estimators can create an estimate for the customer when they are able to. I am in charge of estimate and repair appointments and make sure we have all the parts necessary to start their repair process. • CURRENTLY TRAINING FOR ESTIMATING THROUGH I-CAR. HAVE BEEN TRAINING FOR 3 MONTHS. FINISHED P1 TRAINING.
