Inspect and test malfunctioning equipment to determine the malfunction. Disassemble malfunctioning equipment and remove, replace, or repair defective components. Maintain records of maintenance, repair work, and parts used for each machine. Perform research and development on new products, testing their reliability for use in general production. Schedule, prepare and teach training sessions for employees on use of machinery and increased efficiency and safety of machinery. QA of final product. Production Duties: Set up and organized the employees on the Rolling Mill to make sure all employees have the right materials for each specific job. Hand out specification sheets so employees know what order is coming off the line and what length it is. Make sure that the steel is either going to the cooling bed or to the coiler. Make sure that the steel is in tolerance to run and make adjustments if necessary.
