Job Qualification. Duties. and Requirements:

Perform the needed task to keep the plant heating and cooling systems up and running, including start-ups and shut downs of machinery and equipment as system changes are required.

Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, on rotating equipment including chillers, cooling towers, pumps, compressors, and all needed equipment.

Monitor and log fuel and gas consumption.

Monitor and maintain energy management system including pieces of equipment to ensure proper functioning.

Responsible to alarms and relay alarms situations and respond appropriately to correct and to maintain the systems.

Supervise and perform repairs and equipment alignments needed to keep plant and systems running.

Review documents and drawings from vendors as needed to keep the plant running as per their specifications.

Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety alterations, including test results, instrument readings, details of equipment malfunctions discrepancies and maintenance of work performed.

Perform or arrange for repairs, overhauls, replacement of defective valves, piping,running equipment, and fabrication of items as needed.

Braze, solider and, welding as needed.

Check and make adjustments to ensure compliance to running equipment keeping equipment running within their code requirements.

Create and coordinate P.M. schedules in order to correct and make aware of equipment failures and performance.

Monitor systems and trends and create report to analyze system performances overtime to maximize energy consumption and equipment down time.

Perform rounds as needed checking running equipment ensuring oil levels, flow rates, water levels and, steam flow is at proper operational requirements.

Perform water testing and add chemicals as needed to bring water chemistry to operational specifications.

Perform start up, shut down, on boilers and equipment as needed along with lockouts and tagging in.

Education and Work History:

Graduated from Andover High School.

Have attended college courses pertaining to power and steam operations.

Have attended many seminars relating to power plant steam operation and maintenance.

I have written the following two columns for Power Magazine.

~ Plant Compressed Air Systems.

~ Valve Maintenance.

Worked for Baltimore Gas & Electric in their power plants for 26 years performing maintenance, upgrades, retro fits and, operation as needed.

Worked for Baltimore Local 486 Steamfitters and Plumbers for 18 years installing and maintaining heating systems, piping and retro fits.

Worked for Maryland Environmental Service at the Jessup steam from 2018 - 2021.

Worked forSkookum at the Curtis Bay U. S. Coast Guard Yard from 3/23 - 7/24.

Hold a active Maryland 1st class stationary engineers license.

I have a valid Maryland driver’s license,with no points.

I hold a active Universal HVAC license.
