Roles and Responsibilities

The credit officer is responsible for increasing access to financial inclusion among groups and communities by mobilizing groups to access credit from Pride Microfinance.

I register and create Loans Insurance Funds (LIF) accounts for groups.

I facilitate entry of groups loan information into the banks credit application system for review and approval by management.

Responsible for documenting and review of applicants’ records including beneficiaries’ profile, identification documents, loans security and determination of bank risk levels to aid loans approval.

Recruit, train clients and disburse approved group loans to beneficiaries.

Recovery of loans and posting of receipts from the MECS.

Creating credit reference bureau for the different customers that come to apply for the loans

Train different clients on the use of Automatic Teller Machine (ATM).

I prepare weekly monitoring reports and prospective and existing loans and groups.

Verify completeness of loans applications and file all relevant information
