This is the company that I learned the most with the latest technology on picking orders by hand. We were timed. I found after doing it for quite a while that I was really good at it and actually enjoyed doing it. I picked orders. I packed orders. I did shipping and receiving. I helped with the screen press assistant. I helped take T-shirts from the dryers as they were putting fresh prints on them. I did some envelope stuffing and magazines stuffing for customer's that had annual subscriptions. I also scanned orders and packed them up and shipped them with all the appropriate shipping labels.. This company specializes in making fertilizer. A very highly demanded fertilizer that holds major accounts in other countries. My job was to screen the product for any impurities. It is a very hot temperature wise job and it is a very dirty job. I had four different screeners going at one time that I would scream it was screen the impurities into tubs below that held thousands of gallons at a time four different totes taking the impurities out of the four different screeners. I had to make sure my pipe stayed clear for the product to run through to the screeners. I had to clear clogs if they did not. I drained tanks that held thousands of gallons of the fertilizer before it came through the my lines into my screeners. I would empty an entire tank, switch out my totes with the forklift and begin screening the next tank. It took approximately 4 to 6 hours to drain one tank entirely. I cleaned the floors and scraped up dry product from concrete floors to keep busy.
