Responsibilities:

Select and remove dies from storage racks as required for production. Check dies for cleanliness and place in production tub at the die setup area. Inspect support tooling for dimensional accuracy and hardness at prescribed intervals.

Communicate die schedules to technicians and organize die availability with scheduling department and press personnel.

Work from product specifications, design drawings, schedules, priority lists, die pull lists, extrusion prints and procedures.

Ensure that the dies are in suitable condition prior to scheduled usage. Check dies against specifications, disassemble dies, inspect angles, surfaces, alignment, and dimensions and make or arrange for modifications. Schedule and monitor die trials

Review extrusions resulting from trials.
