Managing a substantial Discovery for major system changes to National Insurance tax relief, plus automation / robotic improvements removing the need for FTE’s.

Guiding and facilitating the adoption of agile methodologies within the Enterprise Security Programme.

Major programme in ScotGov (transforming the way Social Security is delivered in Scotland, replacing DWP). Provided many transformational, delivery management, coaching and training activities to support the widespread adoption of scaled-agile working practices throughout the Directorate and beyond. A mix of Teams and Enterprise level coaching, working with members of senior leadership team (SLT) to influence change and continuous improvement.

Hands-on support for delivery managers and product owners, providing practical guidance and implementation support, such as techniques for prioritisation, estimating, story mapping and much more. Established a Jira Support Team and the substantial investment to support it, as well as the introduction of Miro to over 1200 users. Development and introduction of an agile maturity matrix, as well as a variety of standard practices with respect to agile reporting.

Engagement with DEFRA - brexit related programme. Successfully delivered (working extensively with GDS) the Discovery, Alpha and Beta for an Import Notifications System to enable UK Customs (imports and exports) to continue to function when the UK left the EU. Responsible for scaling to and running many scrum teams; supporting their agile, operational and technology needs – line management of 35.

Engagement with HM Land Registry - successfully delivered an (again, working closely with GDS and taking team through its assessment) Alpha for a complex project to publish much of the organisations data, part of a wider Government ‘big-data’ initiative, to leverage data assets in the commercial sector.
