Human Resources Management

Frontline Source Group Inc. is a professional services staffing agency based in Downtown Dallas. Hired initially as a Recruiter (employee #2 in the organization) and achieved multiple promotions rolling out from strictly a Recruiter role into Management capacities while providing Human Resources Generalist and Human Resources Business Partner functionality. Served a temp employee base that averaged around 150 employees and internal headcount that peaked at 55. Directed the Human Resources department and growth. Reported directly to the CEO in each role held.

Actively promoted. Roles held: Vice President – Human Resources (12/2021 – 5/2024), Senior Vice President (7/2015 – 11/2021), Vice President – Operations & Services (1/2008 – 7/2015), Recruiter (10/2005 – 7/2015)

General Human Resources

Performed all facets of human resources for the organization – planning and deploying benefits, hiring, employee relations, training, retention, performance oversight, etc.

Coordinated with Texas Workforce and various states’ governmental labor entities to control unemployment costs. Efforts saved the organization over $200,000 in one year through proper documentation and appeal management. Costs remained contained over a 9-year window.

Served as back-up to the Payroll Manager to process payroll through Paycom and Paylocity services for the temporary employee-base, paying employees on an hourly or salaried basis.

Addressed all HR-based questions for internal and temporary employees and worked with outside sources if needed to resolve employee needs.

Managed Workers Compensation claims from incident to resolution. Coordinated with Insurance to ensure employees were treated and covered appropriately while managing costs.

Led training and policy presentations to internal and contract employee meetings both in-person and remotely over Zoom.

Legal

Managed all corporate employment legal compliance on a local, state, and federal basis as it relates to the pre-hire, recruiting, and employment management perspective. Planned for labor law updates.

Partnered with outside legal counsel to mitigate and avoid sexual harassment and EEO discrimination charges. Successfully overcame three cases over 12 years, serving as the case point person when unfounded allegations were presented.

Completed training to stay up to date on new legal and compliance initiatives. From ACA to PPP, Covid compliance to E-Verify, met all new requirements that rolled out.

Maintained compliance for FLSA, EEO Title VII, FMLA, OSHA, E-Verify.

Benefits

Administered benefits for the organization – partnering with a broker and leading open enrollment and ongoing benefits management. Used the services of BCBS of Texas, United Healthcare, Dental Select, UNUM, and Group Resources.

Facilitated a benefit calendar change to align the plan year with the calendar year to ensure employee plan satisfaction.

Ran two separate Open Enrollment processes simultaneously annually – one for the internal teams and one for the temporary employee-base. The benefits were separate and managed independently.

Managed COBRA within the United Healthcare portal for offboarded employees.

Advised team members on benefits selections, guiding staff through open enrollment, benefits utilization, and change of life opportunities.

Processed ACA 1095 reports in accordance with year-end reporting.

Onboarding

Managed the onboarding processes for internal and temporary employees in two different portals.

Created and maintained all new hire paperwork and acknowledgements, storing them in compliance with organizational, state, and federal guidelines.

Served as the official welcoming committee to help new hires feel like acclimated to the new organizational as they joined teams.

Established related portals for timekeeping, document management, and employee self-management.

Coordinated with related managers to ensure that the passing off of new hires from day one to the initiation of training that all logins/access was ready.

Developed “Frontline 101” to provide all employees with a standard of understanding of organizational goals, vision, processes, history, expectations, and culture.

Employee Engagement & Employee Relations

Worked with employees at all levels to maintain a high degree of employee happiness and retention. Continuously led “Best Places to Work” surveys with various groups, regularly earning recognition in the top 10 of company size categories.

Performed ongoing metrics management for the production staff – reviewing phone calls, data management, and production goals.

Managed performance management surveys to better direct the organization to ensure employee satisfaction.

Developed the 30, 60, and 90-day review processes for all new employees to ensure adequate employee onboarding and thorough employee training.

Partnered with team managers to complete quarterly and annual reviews with employees, covering metrics and production results and addressing ongoing employee growth needs.

Developed performance improvement plans (PIP) to handle shortcomings while determining a blueprint to lead to correction or documentation in case of future employment separation.
