Description of Project:
The Dubai-based Mashreqbank is the oldest private owned bank in the United Arab Emirates. The assignment is to develop batch interfaces of various frequencies, modules and systems to extract, transform and load data from FLEXCUBE tables. Mashreq bank has a chain of downstream systems which require data in various formats from about 300+ interfaces. Worked with third party scheduler ‘Tivoli’ to achieve frequency. The interfaces were executed for 8 different regions.
Responsibilities:
Worked on the session partitioning to achieve the different frequencies (daily, monthly, bimonthly)
Worked on dynamic parameter file generation using transaction control transformation and Normalizer transformation. About 300+ parameter files had to be generated on every EOD
Variable number of files will have to be generated based on the source data from the same mapping. This was handled using transaction control transformation
Data was loaded into files of various formats like delimited with a variety of delimiters, files with header, footer, files with cumulative values calculated within the file data, fixed width files etc.
Used UNIX to perform intraday execution and file combinations
Used event wait task to achieve execution order across systems
Used E-mail task to achieve requirements on notification
UNIX scripting was used in pre and post session commands to handle complex file structures, intraday execution
Worked on third party scheduler ‘Tivoli’ to achieve session execution order and frequency handling

Share Point 2010, ASP.NET, Java script, PDF, MS Office
Role
Informatica Developer
Description of Project:
The assignment is to develop a data mart for the underwriting process. The sources were tables and web services. The task was to build ODS tables. Data from certain sources were loaded every hour and data from others were loaded once in a day. Data from web service were extracted as XML using Java transformation. This XML response was interpreted using XML transformation and loaded. Data validation, system level data checks, no data cycles were handled. Data versioning was also done. Multiday handling, duplicate versions, false versions were also handled in data versioning. UNIX scripts were used to handle worst case scenarios on data feeds.
Responsibilities:
Received ‘Star of the month’ award from Cognizant technologies for active contribution towards this project
Created an automation (on UNIX) to run certain workflows in an order across many environments. This automation was used to load ODS in the development and test environments without much of manual effort. The automation was also used by other projects. The workflows can be executed for any number of loops without any manual intervention. And if there was a workflow failure, when the script is rerun the execution starts from the point (loop number and workflow number) where it had stopped. Error log for every failure was also maintained
Worked on Java transformation to retrieve data as a XML response from web service
Worked on XML transformation to interpret the XML tags to extract data
Handle ‘no-data’ cycles, extra cycles, invalid data and irrelevant data
Error handling was a major task. A separate error policy/quote table had to be maintained. Some policy/quote which did not retrieve data from web service were processed on every cycle to check if the data was available

Description of Project:
The project requirement was to build a data mart for ODS tables with history data. The source data was from DB2 ODS tables which contains only current version of policy/quote. The versioning of this data had to be maintained in target Oracle tables. Versioning needed to handle additional and missing data from the previous versions. Further scheduling was done in accordance with the schedules of the ODS loads to avoid partial loading and deadlock failures.
Responsibilities:
