•Tested, shaped, repaired, and smoothed stamping dies until die members imparted specified characteristics to sheet metal product

•Climbed into open press and used powered hand grinder and hand tools to remove high spots and shaped and smoothed die surface to conform to other die member

•Adjusted press to allow for thickness of sheet metal work piece and inserted model part

•Observed markings on model parts and performed shaping and smoothing operations accordingly

•Inserted sheet metal blank, operated press, inspected and compared stamped work piece with model part and customer's specifications using measuring devices and checking fixture

•Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, and modify dies, jigs, gauges and tools, using machine tools and hand tools

•Set up die-casting machines that cast parts, such as automobile trim, carburetor housings and motor parts from nonferrous metals.
