I used Allen Bradley PLC’s, HMI’s and ABB VFD’s. My experience with these systems is to recognize a fault and maneuver to the right program/settings to clear and reset the fault. I utilized the Allen Bradley
HMI to monitor the lasers, calibrate the scales on the egg transporter and monitor the crack lanes to make sure we were producing quality eggs. The ABB VFD’s in the packers are programed for 4 motors that deal with speed, closing accuracy and transporting the egg to the carton and onto the conveyer belt. The BECKHOFF EtherCat system is also utilized with input/output cards to monitor and communicate the performance of the machine and eggs being processed.
