I am responsible for planning the daily operations for my crew to ensure optimal utilization of plant and equipment, personnel and inventory requirements, and work procedures in regard to stripping, mining processing, stockpiling, loading, and shipping of sand. While working for White Sign Company I traveled to various locations to install, remove, repair, and relocate signs for companies that contracted with White Sign Company. I traveled for a few days to weeks at a time completing company projects. I maintained and operated crane and ladder trucks, JLG and scissor lifts, forklifts, and heavy manufacturing machinery. I used power/nonpower and measurement tools daily, such as drills, hammers, wrenches, shovel, jackhammer, welding, measuring tapes and levelers. I was responsible for lifting, loading, and unloading materials up to 150 lbs physically and up to 1,500 lbs with crane and ladder trucks. I dug holes for sign bases and painted and installed monument signs. I wired and tested the sign building, pylon and monument signs with high voltage. I routinely troubleshooted and fixed problems encountered with tools, wiring, sign installation and heavy machinery. I inspected and surveyed worksites to ensure compliance with all company and Cal OSHA safety standards. I also used a harness and appropriate protective gear while completing company projects. I regularly worked in all weather conditions throughout multiple states at heights up to 120 feet to install signs. I was responsible for reading blueprints for project layouts and forecasted manpower and schedule. I located and inspected all graphics prior to the installation process. I met with all departments and corrected blueprints as needed to ensure placement before installation of signs and aisle banners. I also trained new hire employees. I also managed a crew up to 6 people each time we were sent out on the road for a project. I serviced and repaired plastic, neon, and illuminated signs in response to trouble calls. I ascended ladders and operated hydraulic and electric hoist to examine signs and determine cause of malfunctions. I performed operations such as rewiring and removing defective parts and installing new ones. I removed signs or parts of signs for shop repairs, such as structural fabrications, scroll repair, and transform repairs. I coordinated with the Department of Transportation, City and State Inspectors to ensure that all city and transportation codes were being met.

This is a family-owned business that I work for in my spare time. I am responsible for troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with heavy equipment such as backhoes, excavators, wheel loaders, graders, sky lifts, bull dozers, ect. I disassemble equipment using hand tools and hoist to start repair work. I am responsible for using various methods to preform routine and preventative maintenance tasks on heavy equipment. I preform pre-welding layout design work and jig preparation, fabricated items, and select the proper welding tools I need to complete projects.
