General Manager, Islamic Banking Sector 01/2010 – 01/2015 In charge of Tailoring and Implementing a comprehensive 5 year strategic plan to re-launch the Islamic Sector at Banque Misr.

Detailed achievements:

{ Utilized pre-existing infrastructure within the conventional bank to perform cost management in areas that do not conflict with shari’a

{ Enacted a new organizational chart that ensured a solid balance between revenue, quality of service and risk management

{ Decentralized and opened communication channels to allow for easy and effective communication between all levels and teams, resulting in mitigating change resistance and increased participation in a employee suggestion scheme (33% to 47%)

{ Performed crisis management after the 2011 revolution which resulted in a revenue reduction of only -9.5%

{ Expanded the corporate segment through increasing the number of corporate branches from 1 in 2010 to 14 in 2014

{ Developed the following products for the Egyptian Market:

- Banque Misr’s Islamic Credit Card (Kenana) with 3000 sales first six months

- Car Murabaha from Banque Misr with sales of 120m EGP in 30 months

- Preparing to launch an innovative and socially responsible micro and SME finance program that builds win-win partnerships between BM and key corporate clients who are interested in developing their CSR profile

{ Envisioned and Directed revamping efforts throughout the bank which resulted in:

- Increase of 357% in Retail corporate finance facilities from 284m EGP In 2010 to 1.3b EGP in June 2014.

- Deposits increased 46% from 17.7b in 2010 to 26b in 2014

- Increased revenue from 13.9m in 2010 to 106.5m in 2014 (-9.5%,+13%,+170%,+177% in years 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014 respectively)

{ Improved branch rankings through the implementation of effective MBO and clear KPIs, increased top band branches from 1 in 2010 to 26 in 2014
