When the technology of our time allows anyone, whether online or by phone conference, a remote presence, the ability to be present, within many other nations at once, communicating with many others by chance, from any other timezone or channel, for any purpose. It's good to get to know the artists and activists who have been wielding it upon your behalf for decades and the chances they've taken.

Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, a globally minded digital native whom may be the oldest working creative and ghostwriter of the millennial generation. Starting at a near age of five with productions by Amblin, Disney, Touchstone, Fox, Paramount, Universal, and Warner Brothers (now Warner Bros Discovery). Quite a start for his first few days of work in life. As time has passed, Derek has had a storied career in multiple fields, has carried a few well-known monikers and pen names for contributions online, in media, and for live events. A dark star who has become open and vocal about his body of work since 2020.

Considered a co-inventor of predictive programming, multiple internet products and their designs, and a few creative methods used for film and music. One of the most prolific ghostwriting creatives, respected for his work in mind-bender films, action, and comedy writing. Has worked on, in the ballpark of seven to eight of the top ten, grossing films of all time! In rotation since the early 2000s...

As a multidisciplinary artist, he's reached journeyman to master level skill in order of learning: natural preservation, creative writing, pastels, ceramics, web-mastering, abstract painting, landscaping art, internal style martial arts, hand percussion, glassblowing, org design, copywriting, natural resource management, studio film, documentary film, authoring legislation, national government policy, artistic plant grafting, improv comedy, and lately he's been practicing and writing for stand-up comedy.

As a teen, along with lifelong friend Aaron Swartz. They used their combined internet architecture knowledge and entertainment agency to formulate and help develop Marvel Entertainment's first website, aiding their exit from bankruptcy and into film. Project management and creative direction that led to development plan portions and creative sessions for film projects with Sony, Columbia, Universal, to fund Marvel Studios. Alongside Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, Louis D'Esposito, and Ike Perlmutter. Upon the hiring of Kevin Feige, Derek has remained a creative in some capacity for the MCU projects (writing room sessions for phases 1-4).

By his early 20s, a career in activism, advocacy, and altruism became his full-time focus and labor of passion. Greatly paving the path for efforts in water quality, renewable energy, crisis management, land preservation, social justice, seed funding, and the growth of the progressive wing in politics.

Quite the sleuth and savant inventor of organizational models and creative methods. Mr. Reuter has worked as an administrator of Heartland Communities, Save Maumee, and Pansophy Broadcasting & Publications. Consultant for the Wabash River Heritage Corridor Commission, Hoosier Environmental Council, USGBC, Our Revolution, DSA, NASA, Film Foundation, and Amblin Partners. Co-founder of Save Cedar Creek, A Greener Indiana, A Greener America, Demand Progress, Progressive Political Change Committee (PCCC/Bold Progressives), Center for Direct Democracy, Haus of Gaga, and Marvel Studios.

Contributing time and effort to numerous other groups, partners, and ad-hoc efforts. Including helping develop and design the activist and education areas of Bonnaroo, Forecastle, Electric Forest, and Summer Camp music festivals. As an inventor, he currently has one invention on permanent display at the Smithsonian National Museum of American History.

Over the decades of art and activism, from Steven Spielberg to Bernie Sanders, from talk show hosts to buskers on the street. Many have crossed paths and may have benefited from his help. With over a hundred films and dozens of musical artists consulted, three million plus words published online, his influence has been felt by many as both a dark star and an anomaly to industry standards.

Derek values his membership in the unions of the UAW as a youth and the IATSE as an adult. Most recently in 2022, he worked Electrical and Lights for Dead & Company from Local 33 and Stage Crew for Chicago, and Brian Wilson out of Local 504. That being said, there has been no task too little or too small for him, as he aided many local fundraisers, festivals, holiday events up to consulting on the production of four well received Super Bowl Halftime performances and aided in the development of a few of the largest music and living history events in the nation.

As a music creative, consultant, and producer, he's worked with Rick Rubin, Danny Elfman, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Tool, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, David Bowie, Prince, Fatboy Slim, Taylor Swift, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Rihanna, Jon Batiste, Foo Fighters, Paramore, Adam Lambert, Black Eyed Peas, Lady Gaga, Carney, Moby, Daft Punk, Die Antwoord, Adele, Lorde, Baby Metal, Atarashii Gakko, Run With Jewels, Peter Gabriel, St. Vincent, Big Thief, Olivia Rodrigo, Wet Leg, Florence + the Machine, Imagine Dragons, Childish Gambino, Moe, Umphrey's McGee, Billy Strings, Oliver Anthony, and numerous regional and local acts. Has also dipped his toes into Broadway a bit, aiding Julie Taymor and Lin-Manuel Miranda.

As a creative, advocate, and writer, the top releases of 2021-2023 with his hand involved was some language in the Build Back Better bill, as a ghostwriting creative, he aided the films; Marvel Eternals, Shang-Chi, Black Widow, Dune, The Suicide Squad, The Batman, Free Guy, Don't Look Up, Mortal Kombat, Ghostbusters Afterlife, The Matrix Resurrections, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Morbius, Top Gun: Maverick, Wakanda Forever, Dr. Strange 2 In the Multiverse of Madness, Thor: Love & Thunder, Prey. With network TV/streaming content: Michael Che: Shame the Devil, Squid Games, Stranger Things, Mythic Quest, Ted Lasso, See, Picard, Rick & Morty, The Boys, Rings of Power, Mandalorian, and other Star Wars & Marvel Disney+ content.

A few impactful characters or oddball appearances he has co-invented within cinematic universes include: Azeem from Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Rufio from Hook, Toph in The Last Airbender, Pickle Rick, Bing Bong, Bao the Dumpling God, Alligator Loki, Spider-Punk, Grogu and Din Djarin from The Mandalorian, Luthen Rael in Andor, Lucy from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, and Dogpool (recruitment) from Deadpool and Wolverine.

In game production and design, he helped with some League of Legends and their Teamfight Tactics game and set designs, Overwatch 2 (Roadhog re-design), Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn, Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy early-production design/writing, and the design/writing for Baldur's Gate 3. Of all those titles mentioned, most won Game of the Year, or for Best Writing, or both. As a coach/player consultant, he was publicly recorded instructing the dark horse team that won the 2022 World Championship of League of Legends and players such as Faker.

He remains a modest and simple living naturalist, artist, online remote worker, and touring organizer. He's highly efficient, funny, witty, and likes to dance! Tapping out a near-perfect win rate for campaigns, lent his heart to efforts like Hope For Haiti and other crisis management roles, hedging against major catastrophic events.

While serving an elected term as Development Chair and Assistant Treasurer for the National Progressive Party out of Vermont (2020-2022), in meetings with network execs, national, and world leaders, he assisted in the construction of the COVID-19 relief packages. Ensuring guiding definitions for unemployment were changed to include artists, freelancers, and gig workers as qualifying recipients. Consultations and administrative writing that have helped save the careers and businesses of hundreds of millions during this world crisis.

He's not so proud of some of all of the meetings he has had to attend, but if we ourselves had witnessed him within them, we would be very proud and grateful that he was. As an experienced freelance maverick in both advocacy and art, who would dare to not only walk a few dark alleys of entertainment and politics, but who stayed long enough to clean them up.

His story has been long, but his journey is far from over.
