This process included setting up specific file pre-flighting applications, Pitstop action functions that automate repetitive prepress processes, Photoshop actions to convert multiple files to particular outputs through automation, applying scripts to Indesign to automate processes that do in a few minutes what would normally take hours.
• Constructing simple as well as complex variable data and variable image set-ups. Complex orders typically require different images to populate with specific textual data. This process involves using layers and applying separate rules to each layer to maintain a controlled dynamic file.
• Color correcting for furniture, rugs, drapery, knobs and wood products such as chair legs. This process involves matching printed proofs to sample swatches provided from the client.
• Creating and maintaining storefronts for Indexx print products
• Creating and maintaining storefronts for business clients to place print orders directly to Indexx. These sites typically consisted of Letterheads, dynamic business cards, mailers, manuals and other products that are consistently ordered.
• Creating campaigns / email blast with PURLs. Setting up complex storyboards. Programing when various emails will be sent depending on the receivers response.
• Maintaining consistent computer settings amongst multiple systems after software updates and system upgrades.
• Maintaining plate processors and digital proof output devices, as well as providing troubleshooting to pressman if any problems occurred on night shifts.
• Present email software capabilities to potential clients explaining advantages that can be useful to their business.
• Compiling simple as well as complex impositions. This process involved efficiently combining multiple inconstant sized and inconsistent quantity print files with together on a print medium of a specific size. The goal being to get the most out of the stock without wasting any of the stock reality.
• Creating templates for customers as well as prepress operators to use for file set-ups.
• Creating databases of all available substrates for wide format print orders, their available sizes and specific set-up information for each.
• Maintaining superb file organization for smooth future interactions with print files. This is important so the files will not be lost or saved in a way that would create a misprint or rerun on a future order. It was also important to put “read me” files within job folders of orders that required complex details to output.
• Creating documentation using textual and visual information of processes for specific prepress applications.
• Participating in the interviews of new prepress applicants as well as providing feedback to hiring managers.

In my 25+ years of working in the printing industry, I have developed many skills in the graphics arena. I have also grown to be highly adept to creating more efficient workflows through automation, action sets and process updates. I have paired efficiency with high organizational skills, not only with print files but customer data and e-mail collaborations. I am used to working in fast paced environments. • Provide solutions when the site stopped functioning properly or orders stopped flowing through the online system. I would determine if the issue was due to a file (such as Corel Draw) that the system had issues interpolating, if there was a file with too many vector points or if the issue involved the site itself which would require informing the webmaster.
