Dear Nintendo,
I am writing to express my interest in your “Sr Data & Insights Analyst” role. This really excites me as an opportunity to develop my analytics career working for a global leader based in Vancouver, whilst working to further my passion of gaming.
Following a Masters in Physics, I have a decade of experience in data analytics and modelling serving leading global banks and asset managers. I have a wide range of experience in deep analytics, with successful experience in delivering advanced machine learned model pipelines for leading global banks, as well as applying statistical techniques in regular system and customer base reviews, as well as designing automation processes in operations. The large implementations I delivered and advised on at FactSet, for globally leading asset managers, were significant, and the recent product changes and data model which I designed and delivered recently, led to FactSet winning the “Best Client Reporting Solution” at the 2024 Financial Technologies Forum.
Consistent professional services and management roles have ensured that I have developed extensive soft skills in particular presenting findings to senior leaders, advising client’s pre-sales conversations, managing and growing teams in new areas.
I believe my skills and experience can be a great asset for Nintendo, and would love the opportunity to speak with you in more detail about the role. I look forward to hearing from you. Best regards,
Guy

● End to end change management services provided for clients including requirements gathering, solution design, implementation, integration, validation and documentation for a range of institutional asset managers.
● Led a multidisciplinary team to deliver an innovative suite of analytics products for a prominent US asset manager, optimising data delivery through API usage, minimising infrastructure and implementation requirements.
● Successfully led the delivery of a comprehensive reporting suite for FactSet's inaugural Middle Eastern client, including database setup, workflow enhancement, and staff training, ensuring seamless adoption.
● Advised product strategy through collaboration with product managers across the product suite. Notably designed new data integration practices, involving the successful adoption of a range of RestAPIs, managing various complex data structures and authentication routes. Used analytics to understand data availability, minimising calculations and transfers to ensure a reduction in both infrastructure requirements and complexity - these changes leading to FactSet winning “Best Client Reporting Solution” at the Financial Technologies Forum awards 2024.
