As a word processing center operator, my position entailed the handing of all types of legal documentation for editing, complex revisions, I also taught legal secretaries, paralegals, and attorneys’ classes in the proper use of Styles (for legal formatting within MS Word). As a Word Processing Center Operator, my duties included working on Memorandums of Law, Briefs, which would include complex Tables of Authorities, Tables of Contents with Litera-Best Authority, and created intricate charts. I would revise corporate documents, including checking cross-references and defined terms, and create new versions of documents. I would also complete EDGAR documents for submission to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), create PowerPoint presentations for firm marketing, court exhibits and department presentations. I would edit, correct, and return assigned work to supervisory staff in a timely manner, being always sensitive to a deadline-driven workflow. As a word processing center operator, I would always collaborate as a team member during each shift to complete complex projects.
