Field Technical Engineer III (senior level) Ericsson Services Inc, (T-Mobile), formerly Sprint, formerly Nextel Communications

Responsibilities:

Operation and maintenance of 80+ iDen & CDMA cell sites as well as in building solutions in Queens County (NYC) and Long Island New York.

Monitor cell statistics and respond to cell site outages/blocks/dropped call issues

Troubleshoot interference and other noise floor issues

Perform new site turn-ups and assist operations support on cell room re-designs/expansions

Perform T-1 augments to support capacity growth and T-1 testing

Deploy microwave communication links for T-1 backhaul and/or recovery efforts

Test transmission lines and antennas

Assign clusters to Field Technicians, update databases of the changes in assignment

Monitor cell site outages and modification tasks for a sub-market, dispatching o corresponding technician

Provide technical support as required to drive task to completion

Respond to customer service tickets

Perform drive tests

Deploy C.O.W. (Cell On Wheels) for emergencies or special events

Perform hardware audits for asset tracking of BTS and EBTS equipment
