As Senior Director of Ecommerce, my colleague and I developed a comprehensive 5-year business plan aimed at establishing an integrated Parts eCommerce platform. This initiative included strategizing and roadmapping to optimize retail sales channels for OE and Aftermarket parts fulfilled by AutoNation dealerships nationwide and 3rd party WD’s, targeting a substantial share of the $299B US Parts market by 2027. Upon board approval of the business plan, I led efforts to build an internal team of analysts, marketplace managers, and catalog managers, while forging strategic partnerships with key vendors.

I held weekly cross-departmental meetings to ensure alignment of accounting, operations, marketing, customer service, HR, IT, and third-party vendors with organizational goals and departmental requirements. Following the platform launch, I directed my efforts towards enhancing website performance, increasing add-to-cart sessions, optimizing conversion rates, and driving higher levels of engagement. European Wax Center is #56 of the fastest growing franchises in the United States. From startup to exit, Jorge Gonzalez was involved with the franchise. In 2015, EWC provided services to over 7.7 million guests including 3.9 million bikini waxes and 2.4 million brow waxes. Presently, 750+ franchises have been awarded nationwide, over 500 of which are open and accepting reservations. Jorge Gonzalez was hired to define the IT strategy, help restructure the IT department, create and fill positions, set up a project management office and improve internal workflows and systems to help support the organization scale and to launch critical projects. Responsible for 1 Director of IT, 8 IT Help Desk Personnel, 10 Developers, 1 Project Manager, 2 Technology Vendors and Medline which handled fulfillment in 4 warehouses. The IT budget was approximately $3m per year.

Implemented Kaseya and created a nationwide gold standard network that could be managed from the corporate offices. This included developing a turnkey technology package that franchises could purchase with pre-installed gold images. Finally, a configuration that would make each device talk to corporate when connected to the internet at franchise locations nationwide. This provided the IT help desk full visibility and control over the network including security updates.

Implemented a back office intranet which consisted of ERP functions and a B2B eCommerce Platform which allowed more than 500 franchises to communicate with corporate and purchase their products online. The back office provides CRM, Help Desk, Marketing, HCM, Education & Site Development modules. Connected the B2B eCommerce platform to the SCMS and integrated it into Medline via EDI.

Created the online reservation system. This included the overall strategy for both design and technical. Led a team of 10 developers, 2 designers, and 2 QA’s to create the ORS. The Online Reservation System was designed to seamlessly integrate into the website to allow customers to be able to book their reservation in real time directly into the center’s POS via API. Developed the cloud architecture and worked with developers to optimize the queries. The launch helped maximize the consumer experience, increase reservations and lowered costs throughout the network.
