●Successfully established the East Mississippi Regional Rail Authority.

●Awarded a $2 million grant through the Mississippi legislature to improve the Meridian Southern Railroad system between the cities of Meridian and Waynesboro in Mississippi.

●Secured $142,500 cash infusion in federal government economic stimulus funds for oversight and repair of rail spurs in Wayne County’s Meadowlands Industrial Park project in 2007.
