Work Experience

Trunion Operator / Assembler/ CNC ROBOT OPERATOR

Aegis Technologies-Pottstown, PA

June 2023 to Present

Trunion - while operating the Trunion machine .My job is to make sure the metal pieces are gaging, threading, and chamfering correct. . With running the Trunion comes a lot of problem solving. This machine breaks down a lot and could be frustrating. So having light hand tool skills is a plus . Know the sounds and understand how to make adjustments. There are a lot of change overs on the machine I make . Depending on what size the material is . Must meet daily task quota of 1200 parts gauged properly. Before I send the parts to assembly I must send the parts through the washer . Also area must be cleaned by the end of shift. And daily task slip of day to day assignments must be filled out and dropped at supervisor station.

ASSEMBLER- on assembly I O ring the parts, coupling the parts, or impact drill the parts together. Once part's are assembled correctly. Next there put thru the wash tester to ensure the parts are assembled correctly.

CNC ROBOT OPERATOR- as cnc operator first thing is to turn the breaker boxes on . Then wake the doosan and ROBOT up. Next wake up the thread roller machine . Once all three machines are on I start by setting up the program and greasing the chuck . Depending on what parts the company is running . That's how I know what program and adjustments to make on the machines and lanes . The parts I load by hand to each lane,So the robot can pick up the part piece . If starting a new part size . I must make adjustments to the lanes the parts sit in . Also I must make adjustments to the pick point position on the robot . That way the robot snatches the part correctly to sit on the tool correctly inside the cnc. To make robot adjustments we use a tablet with a program for this part . Understanding the tablet and it's symbols is a big part of operating. Once the robot grabs the part . The part enters the doosan and the robot grabs the other part to go on the thread roller . On the thread roller the outside of the part gets threaded .After that I say every so often I gauge and measure the part. With this job is change overs, lathe setup,problem- solving, and being familiar with the tools you use day to day . Also meeting the company's daily quota numbers and operating safely is a MUST! I operate the trunion and cnc robot at the same time. If the trunion is down . I'll move to assembly and cnc robots .Last but not least must calibrate parts every so often .
