●Responsible for continuous supply of commercial products with CMOs with emphasis on ensuring GMP compliancy, equipment and processes reliability (assuring $70 M per year in supply)

●Responsible for sourcing APIs and other raw materials to be used in the manufacturing products at the CMOs

●Led cross-functionally project teams (CMOs, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing and Process Technology) and other departments to solve operational problems at CMOs, improve existing products, launch new products, and achieve costs savings.

●Executed supply contracts negotiations to assure $11M in supply with 15% in cost reduction.

CEVA ANIMAL HEALTH

External Manufacturing Performance Manager - 2015- 2018

●Managed the manufacturing of Ceva’s pharmaceutical products in North America through Contract Manufacturers Organizations (CMO). This included involvement with 7 different CMO’s manufacturing sites. Involved in CMO selection, contract negotiation, contract management and CMO performance assessment.

●Responsible for the supply chain of products with CMOs with emphasis on ensuring GMP compliance, equipment and processes reliability (40 MM$ per year in supply)

●Worked collaboratively and cross-functionally with global counterparts, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and other departments to meet continuous supply. Managed new products and products transfers projects

●Worked with CMOs on projects or issues within manufacturing to optimize Ceva products, including critical investigations, FMEAs and Kaizen events, using Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools

Continuous Improvement Manager - 2013-2015

●Responsible of the Implementation of Operational Excellence Methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma and Industrial Engineering) on new drugs developmental and clinical studies operations, solid dose manufacturing, laboratories, and packaging operations. Worked on the scale up of new drugs from the developmental phase to full commercial production, including process validation and continuous process monitoring (Process Capability). Provided training and mentoring on Six Sigma/ Lean Methodologies. Leader of the Total Productive Maintenance program.

●Led Kaizen projects with the following objectives:

oDevelopment of Scheduling of Equipment and Personnel system to optimize utilizations and on time delivery to the Clients.

oCreation of Visual Management system for the Laboratories to ensure the continuous flow of tests results and documentation to ensure on time delivery of analytical results to clients (reducing average turnaround time by 20%, impacting potential revenue generation by additional $6 M per year)

Operations Excellence Manager - 2007- 2011

●Conducted process improvement projects in the antigen production formulation, filling, packaging, and testing areas using Lean Manufacturing (Value Stream Maps analysis, Kanban, Standard Work, TPM, SMED, 5S, FMEA, Visual Management) and Six Sigma techniques. These initiatives led to savings of up to $6 MM and 3.5M in backorder reduction. Led 30 Kaizen events and several rapid action teams. Assessment of the economic value of the improvements.

●Developed a production performance measurement system, including productivity, quality, and equipment usage indicators (OEE)

●Implemented statistical data analysis and simulations to optimize operations in end-to-end supply chains.

●Conducted operational performance diagnostics in three plants in the US and in three plants in Europe with an external consultant

● (McKinsey and Co.), including capacity analysis, labor allocations, processes cycle times and yields, de-bottlenecking, total productivity maintenance, etc. The study recommendations led to cost savings of $2.2 M by year in the network

●Conducted end-to- end VS analysis of the most important poultry products to determine the optimal inventory levels based on processes cycle and lead times, process capabilities, and demand variability (in conjunction with IBM consultants).

●Conducted several training events about the application of Six-Sigma tools and Statistical Software (Minitab), Lean Simulation and Pfizer problem solving methodology.
