Background For the past two years, I have worked as a caregiver for a family member battling dementia. As her condition worsened, I had to leave my job and care for her full time. Her condition has deteriorated significantly and she is now receiving care in a memory care facility. Though I have not been able to work outside of this obligation, my schedule is now fully open and I am looking forward to working towards my goals.

On May 22nd of 2022, I began working at Beirut Bites-a new location stemming from Nicholas’s Restaurant. While working as a server/cashier/cook, I handled all FOH operations while taking on work in the kitchen as needed. During several weeks of staffing issues with our cook, I would step in for the kitchen and work single-handedly with a simplified menu. Due to the smaller scale of the business and the conditions of the surrounding area, I gained a lot of experience de-escalating conflict and handling customer interactions while working to maintain a safe and positive atmosphere for our business. In March of 2022, I began working as a server at Hamono Sushi in Downtown Portland. While serving customers, I was tasked with food prep and daily responsibilities which often included running errands to restock essential supplies.
