installing the proper handling gear for the task. After determining the sequence to follow, I then make any necessary preparations to coordinate with other production shops to try and eliminate any and all bottlenecks. I have used my skills with ropes, slings, chains, chain falls and handling gear to lift, move and position heavy or large objects, such as sea valves, fire main valves, motors, generators, also removing pistons and heads off engines from amphibious class and commercial ships. I am also able to install L.E.T. Coffer Dam, L.E.T. House, and L.E.T. Portable Fans, ASW cooling pumps and motors, MCW Ball Valve, High Packs, Scopes and Antennas, BRA-24, TD-14, Flying Buoys, Crank shaft on diesel, Battery change out and Wheel Jobs, Shaft change out on Trident Submarines’ have removed and worked 500 KW Motor Generator on

Trident Submarines’ have also worked on the replacement of #1 and #2- 300 KW Motor Generator Rotor on the

(SSBM-630). I am able to tie various knots, such as square knots, bowling, half hitch, running bowling, and clove hitch. I am capable of manufacturing slings, and mooring lines’ have Crane operator license for up to 30,000 lbs. I’m capable of using crane signal-man hand skills to instruct and communicate with crane operator to accomplish work required.

I can drive and operate a variety of forklifts (propane, gas, and electric) up to 33 K. While working at Norfolk Naval Shipyard and Kings Bay Sub Base TRF I have stood in for the leader on several occasions.
