Certified Phlebotomy Technician, drawing blood at all ages (including newborn) helped me build character, communication and leadership skills. Utilizing 2 years of experience, my laboratory practice has helped me through tough challenges and obstacles. My goal Is to make every patient comfortable and out in 5 minutes. As a Phlebotomy Technician I was able to draw labs from anywhere like the medial cubital or front palm-side. Doing UAs such as dipsticks, urine cultures, urine hCG pregnancy test, together with UA transport is an everyday thing in the lab Besides doing blood and UA’s, I also did swab testing such as Flu A, Flu B, Sars(covid19), RSV, and Strep A. I can also do finger sticks with adults and children. I was able to run tests on machines like a nova glucometer, Affinion A1c, hemocue, and leadcare. Working in the lab I learned to communicate with my coworkers and providers, I also learned how to show leadership by helping a fellow teammate or takin the lead of an assignment. I plan to further my career and look for a new opportunities.
