(ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES):
Implementing a safety management system onsite.
Developing a safety plan.
Advise project supervisory and management staff on compliance with the law, safety standards, and client requirements.
Advise on-site safety and promote the safe conduct of all work.
Conducting investigation and analyzing of all near misses / LTI / Fatal/dangerous occurrences and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
Participating in client HSE walk around and coordinating with the team to closeout the report.
Conducting weekly HSE walk around together with project management.
Prepare and submit the necessary reports relative to the project safety status or any report as required by the Project Management or Consultant.
Inspect the worksite daily for any unsafe actor unsafe condition and initiate immediate corrective actions to prevent accidents/incidents at the site.
Initiate on-the-job training as per site requirements. (Work at height, hot work, Confined space, Lifting the operation, Power tools, etc.,)
Ensure that permit to work system for all activity.
Checking/inspecting the availability of third-party competency certificates for all the heavy equipment and operators or advising the plant department to arrange for the checking and certification by the third party.
Monitor proper handling, storage, and disposal of waste and hazardous materials.
Ensure that all types of equipment and tools are inspected on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis using the correct checklist.
Installation of safety signage and fire point board as per site requirements.
Monitor road traffic diversion and safe pedestrian crossing.
Coordination and conducting monthly HSE motivation program.
